Second course for AJ’s dinner invite
Friday 28th May 2010, 2:56PM BST.

Claire McAvoy from Minichefs and Caroline Moody from Autism Jersey launch Come Dine with Me to raise money for the charity. This year there will be a cash prize on offer – as dished up by Savoy Hotel director Roberto Lora Picture: JON GUEGAN (00970003)
THERE is nothing like cooking a lovely meal for friends – until you find out they awarded the food three out of ten, questioned your hosting skills and complained that their wine glass was dirty.
But for the brave chefs who can take the criticism, there is a £500 prize on the table.
The return of Autism Jersey’s Invitation to Dinner, based on Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me, will have participants sharpening their knives in preparation.
Following on from 2009’s competition, when more than 100 people took part, raising £1,300 for the charity, AJ’s Invitation to Dinner – The Second Course invites groups of four singles or three couples to cook for each other, awarding each meal a mark out of ten.
Every person taking part pays a £10 entry fee and stands to win the top prize of £500, awarded by Autism Jersey to the best hosts based on feedback and marks awarded, and earn the kudos of being crowned Jersey’s top dinner party chef.
To take part – or for more information – call Caroline Moody on 619870 or email c.leonard@autismjersey.org.
