AXLE will represent Jersey in the Upton after defeating Warriors 77-57 in basketball’s best-of-three games play-off series final.
Jersey’s newest club, who have been in existence three years, will play Guernsey’s champions Prime Panthers for the Channel Islands championship sometime in July.
Axle manager Kevin Smith said: ‘Winning a title is a new experience for us as a club, and, obviously we are all delighted. We hope we continue with another win in Guernsey and then we can look forward to next season when we would like to win the Jersey League title.’
Warriors won the Jersey League recently but there hopes of winning the inaugural play-offs fell in the last quarter of the third and final game.
