Waterfront buildings could stay empty for months
Monday 7th June 2010, 2:58PM BST.
THE heart of the Waterfront could remain a ghost town for months following the liquidation of the company sub-letting the boarded-up bar and nightclubs.
Luminar, the company behind Bar Rock and Liquid and Envy nightclubs, pulled out of the buildings at the start of April.
They rented the venues from a company called Strobe, which is now in liquidation. A legal battle surrounding who was leasing the buildings when they were vacated means they will remain empty for the next few months and no one yet knows when they will open again.
