AZTEC Springfield booked their place in the final of the SE Guy Memorial Trophy last night with a ten run win over Jersey Post.

Springfield’s total of 116 for the loss of five wickets, two each falling to Jason Cripps and Shaun McDonald, in their 12 overs proved good enough for them to progress.

It was thanks in part to a strong opening partnership between Ed Keane (26) and Stuart Robson (30) which set them on the road to victory. As in reply Jersey Post fell just short, despite 46 from Nigel Crocker, as top bowling from Matt Bignall, who finished on 3 for 15, helped restrict them to 106 for six.
