Pier jump boy has broken back

A TEENAGE boy being treated in Southampton Hospital following a pier-jumping accident has suffered a broken back, his parents have confirmed.
The 15-year-old sustained the injuries after plunging more than 12 feet off Bouley Bay pier and hitting a boat.
His devastated parents this morning confirmed that the youngster suffered a broken back in the accident last Friday, although no further details of his injuries have been revealed.
