Malcolm De Sousa has opted to play in the men’s singles, where he will face England champion Simon Kelton, and the fours

JERSEY’S bowlers have an exciting time in store over the next few weeks.

Fast approaching are the British Isles men’s and women’s Outdoor Bowls Championships which are scheduled to be played in Beach House Park at the sport’s legendary Worthing HQ.

The Island’s women will contest the home international team series and will compete for individual titles, and are the Channel Islands’ sole representatives since Guernsey turned down the invitation to join the party some years ago.

And, although, after eight years in the spotlight, the men lost their slot in the team series seven years ago, they continue to send representatives to the championships in singles, pairs, triples, and fours.
