Monday 14th June 2010, 3:00PM BST.
A PARAGLIDER was lucky to escape with minor injuries after a freak accident at Pulente on Saturday.
Witnesses have described how Lisa Jonsson was blown back off her feet as she tried to take off and was thrown into bushes.
The 34-year-old from Sweden, an experienced paraglider pilot, landed on her head, sparking fears that she had broken her neck.
Miss Jonnson was out with her boyfriend, Nick Bisson, a fellow paraglider and well-known kite surfer, when the accident happened on the headland above the sharp bend south of the pub at around 3.50 pm.
