PLANS to build 42 homes in St Clement have been approved by the planning applications panel.
There were no objections at the panel’s meeting yesterday when members approved the scheme to demolish Highworth, 1 and 2 St Ives and glasshouses at field 274 to build 23 houses and 19 flats. The site is at Pontac.
St Clement Constable Len Norman said that he was ‘very pleased’ with the result.
‘This is something the parish have been working on for many years. I am delighted that plans are at last coming to fruition.’

Win a share of £10,000
2012 is the year of the London Olympics and to celebrate this great event the Jersey Evening Post, in association with sponsors Ogier is giving all sporting clubs a chance to win a share of £10,000.
Just what St Clement needed, flats?
Thats a small area for that many houses and flats so im guessing they will all be pretty small.
As long as the building and community are maintained and the buildings are a fair size then it could be a good idea

“…members approved the scheme to demolish Highworth…”
I am surprised that this the only house I have seen in Jersey with this particular name!

I wonder where the children of the people who live in these new abodes will go to school. St Clements Primary and Le Rocquier School are both full, if not over subscribed!
