Residents vow to fight Noirmont building plans
Saturday 26th June 2010, 2:58PM BST.
NOIRMONT residents say they are not going to give up fighting plans to build on a green field after Planning gave in to a developer.
They say that they will go to court to stop developer David Sheppard building on Field 621, which is in the protected green zone between Woodbine Corner and the road to Ouaisné.
This week the Planning department gave Mr Sheppard permission to build one house on the field after he launched a court action to get his plans passed. Planners admitted that they could not afford to lose a court battle against him.
But residents in the area, who have been fighting against any building on the site for the last seven years, say they are not going to give up.
