POLICE are hunting a man who broke into a home in town yesterday and assaulted the occupant.
The householder, a 45-year-old man, had to be treated in hospital for his injuries, but was later discharged.
The intruder, who is described as being in his late 20s, around 5 ft 8 in tall, of stocky build and with short brown hair and possibly balding, is also thought to have been injured, although not seriously.
Police and ambulance services were called to the address in Palmyra Road, which joins Clarendon Road, at around 3.45 am on Sunday after reports of an intruder.
