PIRATES, monsoons and romances – 63-year-old Clive Hamman has survived it all.
For 20 years, the self-styled backpacker of the sea from Canada has sailed around the world offering lifts and adventure to hundreds of fellow travellers.

Clive, who says he has never had a bank account, built his Chinese junk sailboat Nuthin Wong on Vancouver Island in 1989.
