GROUVILLE Football Club has appointed a new president.

Richard Noel was elected into the position at the club’s annual general meeting this month and he replaces his father, George, after 18 years at the helm.

Richard has been involved with the club since playing as a junior and moved on to be first team goalkeeper before retiring through injury.

In more recent years he has been the club’s unofficial photographer, supplying pictures for the club website and joined the committee where he has gathered experience and knowledge to help the club progress with their training ground project.
