First joint careers and jobs fair
Saturday 3rd July 2010, 3:00PM BST.
CAREERS Jersey has announced that it will be hosting its first joint Careers and Jobs Fair later this year.
The fair will take place on 8 September at the Radisson Hotel, replacing the annual Careers Fair traditionally held at Fort Regent.
It will also replace the regular Jobs Fairs that have run for the past year in response to the economic downturn.
Andy Gibbs, head of careers and work-related learning, said: ‘The combined Careers and Jobs Fair has been established in response to feedback from both employees and job seekers.
It is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to find out about all the options available to them, whether they are looking for immediate work or want to find out about the training and qualifications required to secure their dream job.’

great idea.
i have to ask why are we hiring the radisson(the tax payer must be footing the bill)when the fort is a public asset, and sports and leisure would not raise a charge to help unemployment of local people.(one would hope)
if the radisson are giving it for free , i will stand to be corrected.

Both venues charge the same fee

the fort should be used , free of charge for such a event, monies would be recovered , thru tax take from people taking up employment, who will hopefully spend within jerseys economy, and not syphon it out to distant shores.
