THE road outside Hotel La Place came to a standstill as family, friends, staff and former students turned out to watch the arrival of the class of 2010 at the Les Quennevais Leavers’ Ball.
The students, for whom the celebration marked the end of compulsory education, arrived in an assortment of vehicles including vintage cars, stretch limos and sports cars.
The evening followed a lunch and ceremony when the students were presented with their records of achievement by Education Minister James Reed and subject awards by Martin Kelly, manager of Hotel L’Horizon.
