Ouaisné hit by furze fire

FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours tackling a huge furze fire which ripped through the countryside at Ouaisné last night.
Full-time and part-time crews were called out shortly after 10.40 pm as the blaze spread across the furze and threatened to destroy a number of protected trees.
