Companies’ register on Facebook?

OFFICIAL information from Jersey’s companies’ registry may be accessible through social networking sites such as Facebook in future.
The head of the registry has given an undertaking to make the directory of information held by the Jersey Financial Services Commission easier to access.
Director Julian Lamb said that while the companies’ registry website was currently simple to access, it did not utilise technology used by today’s school leavers.
‘In the next few years we will begin to introduce access to the registry through social networking sites and other routes, as other registries globally are beginning to do, because today’s students will be tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and they will expect it,’ said Mr Lamb.
