She is a fast, elegant and much-loved replica of Jersey’s most famous racing yacht.
But the Eleonora suffered an unfortunate start to the inaugural Westward Cup Regatta – named after the ship on which she is based –after she broke both her top masts during a training day.
The vessel, due to visit Jersey later this month, was rerigged in time for the race and returned to the Solent, albeit with shorter masts.
