HOLLYWOOD glamour was the theme of the Youth Inclusion Project’s annual summer ball, which was held at the Radisson on Saturday night.

The charity, which supports young people with special needs, held a raffle and auction which raised more than £1,500.

One of the lots, an all-expenses-paid trip to see Manchester United’s first home game of the season, brought in £500. Other top prizes included a sushi preparation lesson at Bento Sushi and a weekend sailing trip.

The event was not just about raising money, though, and those in attendance were treated to a host of special guest appearances, including Captain Jack Sparrow (John Allen).

BBC Top Gear’s Stig arrived in a Bentley, with the younger guests clamouring to get a photograph and an autograph from the television personality.

Among others, Pudsey Bear and Oscar Puffin graced the event, keeping everyone entertained and offering a memorable photo opportunity.
