New Harbours and Airport board?

Among other things in his weekly ascerbic look at Island life, Helier Clement reminds Economic Development Minister that a joint Harbour and Airport body is hardly something new.

‘FOLLOWING the resignation of Airport director Julian Green, I have to say that I am almost as sceptical about the creation of what Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean described as ‘a shadow board’.

Senator Maclean wants to see a joint body overseeing both the Airport and Jersey Harbours in the future. Funny that, because under the old and allegedly inefficient States committee system, there used to be a Harbours and Airport Committee doing precisely that.’
