Testing time for Jersey

AFTER weeks of dry weather, showers are forecast during this week’s ICC Division I cricket tournament being hosted by the Jersey Cricket Board.
And two Jersey players were facing pre-match fitness tests – Matt Hague because of a wrist injury and Chris Jones, who injured a shoulder on Saturday playing for Rathbone Old Victorian’s in his club’s NatWest Channel Islands League victory away to Guernsey’s Cobo Tigers.
Despite last night’s early evening heavy rain, play was expected to begin on time this morning, 10.45, at the three grounds being used today.
