Flybe boosts fleet

THE airline Flybe has done a deal to buy up to 140 new jets from Brazilian manufacturer Embraer for up to US$1.3 billion.
Flybe, which was founded by Jersey resident Jack Walker, is now Europe’s largest regional airline. It consolidated that position last week by announcing a code share deal with Air France that will see the French national carrier sell Flybe services on 45 routes within and from France.
