CHRISTIAN Aid supporters in Jersey have been praised for their fundraising efforts by the regional manager of the charity.
Martin John Nicholls is the charity’s south-west regional manager and was in the Island this week to meet supporters and say thank you for all their hard work.
Around £30,000 was raised in Jersey alone through this year’s Lent lunches and Christian Aid week and the money will go directly to the charity’s work in some of the world’s poorest countries.
At Bethlehem Methodist Church on Tuesday Mr Nicholls gave Islanders an insight in where their money goes and just how much their support is needed. He said it was important for people to see it through the eyes of those in need.
