Sale of Aurigny ‘about to fall through’

THE sale of the Guernsey States-owned airline Aurigny to rival Blue Islands is on the brink of collapsing, a senior political source has said.
Guernsey politicians were today expected to be told that there has been a major change in the deal announced ten days ago by the island’s Treasury and Resources department.
‘Derek Coates [the Blue Islands chairman] appears to be having second thoughts,’ a senior figure opposed to the sale has said.
