Accountant in fight against extradition bid

A JERSEY accountant accused of fraud and money-laundering spent the day before his 58th birthday fighting his extradition to Australia in the first such case to be heard in the
Island.
Yesterday was the opening day of Philip Eric de Figueiredo’s appeal hearing in the Royal Court against decisions made by Jersey’s Attorney General and Assistant Magistrate to extradite him to Australia.
