Bisley: Aussies bounce back at Bisley

THE Channel Islands rifle team came agonisingly close to defeating the Australian World Cup Palma team in the Australia match at Bisley on Sunday.
The CI team had a two digit lead over their rivals after the two short ranges had been shot, but the Australian side, having already tasted defeat to the Jersey Rifle Association earlier in the week, bounced back with a strong finish.
The shoot was not without controversy as the Australian team had earlier challenged two shots which they claimed did not belong to them. Despite losing their appeal they were allowed to keep their original score which, according to the CI team, contravened international rules.
