WILDLIFE corridors, koi carp ponds and allotments could all be part of the changing face of the countryside over the next five years.

Plans to utilise old glasshouse sites and unused land and to allow urban dwellers a chance to embrace the green areas of the Island have all been proposed in the latest draft of the Rural Economy Strategy.

The 60-page white paper, which provides guidance for the future of Jersey’s agriculture industry, has been updated following input from Island businesses and individuals.
