Shop owner fears lost business after parish bans sign
Saturday 14th August 2010, 2:58PM BST.
A SHOP owner has accused parish officials of victimisation after they banned him from displaying an advertising sign outside his business.
Barry Jenkins, who runs Fotosound in Vine Street, was told in June by St Helier officials that he can not put a six-foot free-standing sign outside his photography shop. The sign is used when promotions are on and is taken in each night.
But Mr Jenkins said that he is being victimised as the sign has been outside his shop for the past two years on and off without any problems.
