Wizz win right to open rock event

LOCAL band The Wizz will open Rock in the Park after beating six other groups to secure the top slot.

They won the Rock in the Park Battle of the Bands competition at Thelma’s Show Lounge yesterday and will now play in front of an audience of thousands at Howard Davis Park on Sunday.

As a judge of the event, can I say that it was a very tough choice as the standard of the competition was incredible and Jersey should be really proud of the exceptional musicalal talent so many youths have in this island.
