Fatal road crash victim named

A MOTHER was killed and her three young children seriously injured in a road crash in St John yesterday.
The 34-year-old woman died in hospital hours after her car crashed into a granite wall at the Hautes Croix junction just before 3 pm. She has been named as Maria Sousa Pestana.
A 22-year-old female passenger, who was travelling in a silver Daihatsu, and the children – two boys aged 12 and ten years old, and an eight-year-old girl – are currently being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
