Now you can study law in Guernsey
Wednesday 25th August 2010, 3:00PM BST.
JERSEY graduates interested in pursuing a career in law will soon have the opportunity to do so in Guernsey.
A part-time course with lectures on Fridays and Saturdays is being run in conjunction with Bournemouth University and starts next month. Eight units will be taught over two academic years that will include the law of trusts, criminal law and European Union legisation.
Professor Richard Conder, chief executive of the GTA University Centre, said this was the first time that Channel Islanders would have the opportunity to study for a postgraduate law degree without having to travel to the UK.
• See Wednesday’s JEP for information on how to apply for the course.
