SWIMMING history was made on Sunday when Alison Wood completed her swim around the island of Herm.
Finishing the challenge in two hours, eight minutes, and 56 seconds Wood (née Horsfall) became the first person to complete the circumnavigation of all five Channel Islands.
It is also thought to be the first time that Jersey swimmers have swum around Herm.
