St Brelade’s residents reject bay house plan
Friday 27th August 2010, 2:57PM BST.
RESIDENTS of St Brelade have rejected plans to build a five-bedroom house with indoor swimming pool overlooking St Brelade’s Bay.
At a meeting at the Beau Rivage Hotel last night, about 50 parishioners expressed their opposition to plans to demolish La Rousse, a small wooden bungalow used for storage, to build a two- to three-storey property.
People living close to the site, which overlooks the promenade to the left of the L’Horizon Hotel, said that the proposed building was too big.

Bunch of nimbys – all these whinging residents have probably already got nice houses in the area themselves.
I can picture the existing house that’s there now – it’s an eyesore, why not put a nicer one there? so what if it’s a bit bigger.
