Swamped by claims

Insurance companies have been inundated with phone calls as a result of Thursday’s flash floods.
Tim Wiseman, commercial insurance broker for Cherry Godfrey said that they had been ‘inundated with claim requests’ since the flooding subsided, and that brokers were working to do everything they could to help businesses.
Despite a large number of homes and businesses facing lengthy clearing processes, Islanders were being advised not to panic and seek advice immediately.
