Dan’s the Triathlon man

Dan Halksworth and Claire Forbes were first man and woman home in the 25th anniversary triathlon on Sunday.
Halksworth, the sport’s development officer, set an impressive time of 1 hr 54 min 58 sec for the Olympic course discipline of a 1,500m swim, a 40 km cycle and 10 km run.
Forbes, competing in her first season of triathlon, finished in 2.25.02.
They and the others in a record field plunged into the sea at Bel Royal at 7.30 am, before completing the bike ride and run.
