ISLAND Tennis player Andrew Evans has been selected for the Great Britain veterans’ team at next year’s World Team Championship.

Evans joins Jeremy Bates, James Turner and former Davis Cup player Nick Fullwood in the side to travel to Christchurch, New Zealand in February next year.

A delighted Evans said: ‘It’s a brilliant feeling. It was my aim to make the team and that’s why I played in the British Open and winning it obviously was a great help to my chances of making it.’
