Bet their Mums and Dads just love their kids being in a band with such a name….Oh hello Mrs…Smith what’s your boy doing these days …..well err…um.
nice name for a band
Report abuse
More like Dopey sods! or playing silly buggers!
with such a revolting title one cant help but think “running out of time” will be the reality of these half witted waste of timers!
I think you are missing the point, some bands names are meant to a counterculture from which older people are determinedly excluded.
When I think back to my youth I remember; The Slits, Buzzcocks, Sham 69, Dexy’s Midnight Runners and The Members.
Lots of song lyrics contain innuendo or thinly disguised references to drugs, etc.
Youth has to be a bit revolting
Report abuse
The name…it’s all about shocking the world and showing how rebellious one is. Give it a few years and they will all be trust administrators and accountants grovelling to their superiors instead of trying to show them how they can think up naughty names for a little banjo band. I expect that they will one day recoil with embarrassment when they are reminded of this cringeworthy, toe curling episode.
I wonder if they will gain a gay following?
Why do we never hear about Gomorrahmy?
“Surely” if they wanted to shock they would have come up with something more original such as
“a fisfull of gays” or “the “back entrance boys”.
Thats supposing like some suggest that they want to appeal to a gay audience.
If a gay following is not there target then perhaps the “fum ducks” would be suitable or then again perhaps Socks & Sodomy with auntie mabel is “surely” more creative!
Good on the band i say, playing music gigs for other young people to enjoy and give them some hope that they can perform on bigger stages later on. There not harming anyone just having a go by being in a band, the problem is older people just sticking their nose in and not giving youth a chance you should be ashamed of yourselfs. Why they are trying to have a go you just knock them, i hope they prove you all wrong, like i said earlier good on them!
People slating the band name – Grow up
Who are you to say where their name came from or what it means to them?
Maybe it has some meaning to one or all of them or maybe its just a shock tactic. Which has obviously worked!
Could be named after something else or could be a play on words.
Could be the name of a song that has inspired them.
Not really the point though is it. The music is the point so unless you have heard it maybe keep your opinions to yourself?
Glad a good band won it this year, unlike last year when Salem’s Lot were robbed by a band who messed up their set and have since split up…
Both Ali and Blackgrass were outstanding and Jersey should be proud of how exceptionally talented the youth here are.
As for the name – get over it old fogies, its called ROCK N ROLL!!!
Kage,
They can call themselves whatever they want, but they obviously want to get noticed. they will never go mainstream with that name.
Kage-good message! Yes, “grow up” does seem to be most appropriate indeed. It is an excellent name and I for one look forward to seeing more of the same. I wonder what other original and shocking names can be thought up by these amazing minds. They are really mature and therefore square so let’s not be so immature as to criticise them. All together now, grow up!!
It is a veritable rebellion. A feeling of having to differ from one’s comfortable, middle class conformist roots, if you will. They are clearly trying to highlight the impotent inadequacies of their own perceptions, hence the overt need to shock. The youth should be encouraged to think of vulgar things (and to express their healthy thoughts in that regard) as it shows a healthy imagination and counter culture. That said, we shouldn’t encourage them too much as that would then be rendering them conformist and they would then think up polite names in order to shock their irreverent elders! So let’s just pretend to be shocked and make them content in their work……..:)
Choosing a band name is utter hell, but a ‘shocking’ name is more likely to get you listened to, even if just once. Anyway, few artists retain their original name once signed. Still, #9 Wind in the Willows, you could make a living coming up with band names
Playing an instrument and using some creativity certainly beats hanging about street corners getting drunk!
This is brilliant. Let’s have a competition to see who can have a band with the most shocking name. They wouldn’t have to actiually play anything. Just the name would do. On that basis, I am truly delighted that, ahem, Clockwork Sodomy took the prize. Perhaps a states grant might be in order for next year in order to really see who has the most vivid and revolting imagination! I expect that there will be many titters of laughter from around the youth clubs and fifth form common rooms (first forms as well I expect)so let’s get rolling for next year!
Right on!
Kage at 11 “grow up”
Eh? Are you missing something regarding the less than mature name?
If so, get a dictionary.
Do you have a problem with people expressing an opinion? If so, I fear that this forum may not quite be the place for you.
Toe curling, toe curling! Aaargh!
Marx- is it a rock and roll band? What do they play, chuck berry, elvis? early stones? Or cliff richards? Just curious
Report abuse
@ 13 alp expat, have you ever heard of a band called the Sex Pistols??…
@20 John Ramone, they are a Cliff Richard cover band.
As a young person myself (19) I find this patronising attitude that we constantly endure from adults really disgusting.
If these boys were on the street drinking, taking drugs and abusing strangers you would be horrified, and rightly so! But instead they are being creative, expressing artistic talent and drawing lots of young people inside to have sensible fun listening to music, but you STILL moan about it!? You are a bunch of hypocrites who should be ashamed of yourselves.
Tell you what, some people just can’t be pleased can they? You’ve got a group of kids who have a talent for something and are obviously passionate and good enough to win a local battle of the bands competition yet here everyone is more concerned about the name of their band?!
Would you rather they hang around town drinking/smoking and causing a nuisance so you can call the police on them whilst you’re sitting at home watching TV having such a more productive life?
Congratulations to Clockwork Sodomy! I know we’re not playing the same day as you at Jersey Live but I hope you have an awesome show and I look forward to hearing the results of the recording time you’ve won!
Seriously, calm the hell down, it’s band name, why do people have to make a massive issue of it?
Don’t like it? Ignore it and move on. Cheers.
I find it quite entertaining opening the JEP and seeing ‘Clockwork Sodomy’ posted everywhere… highly controversial and amusing.
Some of you guys should try getting a sense of humour and stop being so cynical.
And as for them getting ‘mainstream’, the genre of which the music they play is categorised in is highly unlikely to be noticed by the mainstream anyway, making that comment completely invalid.
I find some of these comments ridiculous! Moaning about a name, a mear fusion of words. I find it hard to believe that they ‘aim to become mainstream through shock tactics, etc.’ playing the music that they do. I have seen this guys play on a number of occasions, and I don’t expect to hear their music on the radio, but I also don’t expect any of the music on my iPod to be heard on the radio! To base one’s success in the music industry on their name is ludicrous! Take the band ‘An*l C*nt’ for example; a band who have found success, but with one of the ‘worst’ names in the business. There is a music scene beyond the ‘Top 40′.
And as for the comment “Bet their Mums and Dads just love their kids being in a band with such a name,” I would be very proud to show off my children if they had the brilliant, creative minds that these lads do!
I say good on them!
Bands such as this (and every competing band in the competition) show how the youth are TRYING to very hard to show that teenagers nowadays aren’t all hanging on street corners and drinking themselves stupid and abusing other people. The people that are complaining about the band name are the ones who complain that all teenagers are drinking, drug taking and violent ignorami.
If you knew these guys in person like I do (and very well as I am very close friends with all of them) then you would know how anti-establishment and political they are. The fact that you are all offended by the name show’s the system they are completely against and your all sheep being told what is offensive and what isn’t. This is all just a flashback to the controversy of ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ by The Sex Pistols. Be happy for the fact that there are teenagers out there trying their hardest to be creative with their lives instead of the 99% that spend their time loitering and giving us a bad name. I’m leaving this island in a few weeks to pursue music as a professional career and I’m glad because alot of you people who complain all the time make me sick. Teenagers over here can’t win any more because only everything bad gets Highlighted and when something like this is published, where the teenagers are doing something productive, the public shoots them down again.
I’m disgusted at all of you of find this offensive
Report abuse
Why do people have to judge a band on their name instead of their talent? If you don’t like the name then fine, but I don’t see the need to slag them off about it? I actually know these guys, and talking to them they are all really mature. Judging their music and the band members personalities/characters based on the band name is quite pathetic. What ever happened to the phrase ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover”?
And it’s not like they are the first band in the world with a ‘shoking’ name. And not all bands with ‘shoking’ names end up failing. I agree with a comment earlier, which said along the lines of if anything a more shoking name makes you more well known because more people hear about you.
Basically, the people who are judging these guys based on their band name need to stop. Judge them once you know them, not on first impressions of a name.
“alp expat

Um..sorry but several bands with ‘shoking names’ have gone mainstream before.
I wish the band all the best and I agree with Leah Holmes: “Playing an instrument and using some creativity certainly beats hanging about street corners getting drunk!”
However, I do think ‘Clockwork Sodomy’ is rather an odd name for a band. It doesn’t seem to make any real sense…maybe someone is guilty of a typing error…or maybe some puritan added an ‘L’ for a slightly less ‘cheeky’ effect.
Hello! Jordan Delap here! Guitarist, singer and songwriter from Clockwork Sodomy!
Here we go: Last year we entered Junior Battle of the Bands but didn’t yet have a name so we were desperately searching for something, one of our members was watching the film a Clockwork Orange and then listened to the band Sodom. He stuck the two together and we had a band name! I liked the name because it’s open to interpretation, my personal meaning for it is it’s a metaphor for the system (Clockwork) systematically screwing us over (Sodomy). Please feel free to come up with your own meanings because perception is the beauty of art. If you don’t like the band name and are judging us before you’ve even heard the music then you’re just too close minded and we don’t really care what you think. If you listen to the music and still don’t like it then fair enough, people have different tastes. My songs cover subjects such as injustice, pollution, failure of the capitalist system, and more personal matters. If you disagree with the message then it’s you cold-hearted, uncaring people who’s eyes we’re trying to open, or if that fails, rally people against.
I’m Mikey the drummer and I came up with the name of the band. For people who have judged before listening, we play a political alternative punk with strong metal influences. We’re not as dull as you may think, and most probably if you’re the people sitting on a forum comment board ranting about a name of an artist you’ve never supported, met, heard or payed any attention to whatsoever until brought to the media, we’re MOST likely more switched on to our surroundings than you are. If you find our name offensive, you should pay a little more attention to whats happening on our planet. The name is insignificant to our message and sound… And for all this bringing in a homosexual fan base nonsense, our music is for anybody who woke up, took a look at the world and thought to themselves, “Maybe our system doesn’t work…”. Whether these people are Caucasian, coloured, religious, etc. It doesn’t matter to us, maybe to you, but not to us.
Read between the lines.
It’s the talent that’s important, not the name.
If you really are offended by the name Clockwork Sodomy
#1 there is nothing you can do about it
#2 all the more reason? Give youth a reason to be rebellious and they will. Listen to the lyrics to bands songs and you’ll understand. What do you want the band to be called? Cuddles and fluffy things?

haha, some people are so pathetic and haven’t heard of the word creativity. I don’t know why we are debating the name of this band when a band title shows an insight of the creativity and a sense of humor which this band clearly have. Great band, Great title, and keep the creativity coming.

I remember the Sex Pistols well. They had the “never mind the bollocks” album and another one on which they glamorised the great train robbery and the holocaust. As such, they were an absolutely top hole and spiffing band. So too are “Clockwork Sodomy”. They are fantanstic and their name is imaginative and simply first class all round. In respect of the name, is it a case of “wind them up and see them go” or do they not live up to the nomenclature which they have worked so tirelessly to create? As I said, absolutely top-hole and the best of luck. Wonderful effort and no doubt the toast of champagne socialism and rebellion for some time to come.
I too find ir t offensie that some find it offensive. Offence simply compunds offence so don’t be offensive by being offended, please.

Jeesus @ 23; I too find it absolutely brilliant to be able to open the JEP and to read the words “Clockwork Sodomy”. I might go and have another look now in fact. Please let’s have some more bands with amusing names so that we can see naughty words in print in the media. It is so refreshing, liberating and enjoyable in these sterile, politically correct times. My grandmother has already asked me where she can obtain a t shirt bearing the witty and imaginative name.

Hello,
The people that need to grow up here are the ones complaining. Have you not got anything better to do than insult a band made of kids? They put a lot of time and effort into what they do, the ignorance in society is in the higher uneducated generations. Ignorance and arrogant, the true Satan.
You do not even care to understand, and this is why nobody likes old people. Young people give things a chance.
As someone else said totally cringe worthy. A bunch of middle class kids playing rock and roll.
Marx at 21; you are incorrect, I am afraid. Clockwork Sodomy is not a Cliff Richards tribute band and it does not play rock and roll. Go and see them play, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised.

Aside from the scrutiny, the band are particularly talented. Seeing as Jersey is a mere 9 by 5 island, we should be cherishing the talent that has/is blossoming. I agree, the name is not child friendly, but what is these days? Have any of you seen what is presented to us through the media? The types of television programmes that are deemed acceptable? Articles in the news? No?
At least they’re putting in time and effort to bring together something creative and expressive, instead of following the great big herd of sheep that are traipsing on in front of them. Perhaps some of you should look at the bigger issues in the world, and submit your bitterness towards that.
The world is changing, it always has been and always will be.

Jersey would you please stop being such boring reserved idiots we have been through all of this since the 60′s history will and always does repeat itself those of you who dont like the name guess what , your not supposed to , im quite sure you are too busy discussing how nice that girl from X factor is and thats why she should win disregading musical talent or lack of
and you were so shocked whe you heard that X factor uses Autotuners and pitch shift , where the rest of the musical comunity was going “You didnt realise” if you dont think young musicians doing such a feat isnt brilliant well then its your loss , for once a music competion has been won by talnted young people not Indi bands that only know 3 chords ,there are much worse names for bands out there and that still isnt important So too bad if your upset your opinion isnt worth a thing take 5 minutes to look at yourself and think , could i have done that. well done guys.

@ Leah Well said.
Shame on all you folks on here putting the band down because of their name. Get a life!!!!!!!

Ok ok, maybe “Grow up” wasnt what I meant. I guess, get over it, would have been a better comment to make.
It is harsh however to slate the band because of their name. They did win the comp’ so that suggests to me they have put a lot of time and effort into what they do. Judging them on their name is putting your small mindedness on display for the world to see.
#13 – Alp Expat – “They will never go mainstream with that name” You are clearly not into metal or heavy metal are you? I cant give you examples of mainstream bands with shocking names becaue it would never get posted but I can assure you this name is not as shocking as hundreds of popular bands currently out there. Particularly European metal bands which is an area that is thriving in recent years.
#16 Leah – It is Hell! My band has been trying to think of a name we all like coming on 2 years now!
Anonymous at 32; you are clearly referring to some opinion which you do not feel has been resepected. Rather than be prudish about it, why not tell us what it is that you allude to?
I for one think that it is a brilliant, creative and wholly socially acceptable name which any normal intellect would be hard pushed to have thought up. I look forward to more of the same from these extremely talented wordsmiths. That of course is only my opinion and your opinion no doubt differs.
Jonathan at 29; I thought that it had something to do with clockwork orange, the unwatchable 1970s film which was so bad that the writer himself withdrew it from circulation! Yes, the system does suck, doesn’t it to the extent that it screws us all over, although hopefully not in the way which is suggested!
I wouldn’t imagine that the band is dull as your drummer suggests, although your cause is not assisted by persons posting here who falsely claim the band to be a Cliff Richards tribute band. That indeed would be far more offensive than any name of the band could ever be

Given your name I hope you manage to rhyme “J M Keynes” with “Anal pains”.

To GTR, and Kage, I know all the boys personally, and they’re nothing of what your judgemental, automatic, sterotypical opinions are.
Don’t bitch about something you’ve never heard. This band deserve every praise they receive, because they work hard and are constantly improving. They have never backtracked and throw everything into every practice and performance.
Like my good friend Mikey Phillips; the drummer said, you’re all just sitting on your computers, hiding behind a message board screen because you haven’t actually BEEN to any of these gigs, thus, you have no opinion on the capability and talent of these boys.
And to the rest, who are judgemental, soley on the name or the appearance of the band, YOU’RE the ones that need to grow up or ‘get a life’, because I totally thought that the art of judging someone, was something us teenagers left behind many many years ago. We are the ones who are grown up, you are the ones who are probably stuck with probably something to do with finance or trust, and you hate it! You won’t stand up and say, you hate it, whereas we do. And it’s something, for some reason, a lot of teenagers are critised for. We stand up for ourselves. We’re doing something we love, and you wonder why most teenagers have an ‘attitude’, as most would call it? It’s called a defence theory where we’re sick of taking your judgements, your comments, and we’re going to continue doing everything that we want, how we want.
Now if you don’t like that, well then, I guess you’re just going to have to sit behind this good old message board.. AGAIN.
Good day.

@ 35. T – “Are you not an adult then at 19? If not, when do you think you will be?”
You’ll note that I described myself as a “young person”, not a “child”. Its possible to be both an adult and young! After all, I doubt you would give me the same respect as a 19 year old as you would a 40 year old! Am I right?
@ 37 Gods Mentor – “A bunch of middle class kids playing rock and roll.”
You clearly don’t hve the faintest understanding of what rock n roll is if you have that attitude. Firstly, Pink Floyd were middle class and were also excellent. But Rock n Roll isn’t about class background, its about everyone getting together and having a good time with no worries. Its about UNITY! Those sort of petty divides are exactly what Rock n Roll strives against.
@ Weber. I know they don’t play Cliff Richard, I was joking
I have in fact seen them many times. In fact I have booked the singer to play at an event I am organising this Saturday. But I can assure you they are a rock n roll band. Rock n Roll isn’t just a type of music, its an attitude and lifestyle which the boys are certainly a part of. In a musical sense, Rock n Roll is an umbrella term that encompases a wide variety of styles from Punk to Heavy metal.

You do realise Marx was joking….we are good friends of the band and gig with them regularly. Marx was at the front for the whole of their set at the final, as well as their heat when they got through to the final and pretty much all of their gigs before hand.

I would have thought being uncontroversial would have made a nice change from the controversial route that the majority follow.
How can you be different and shocking if your going down the same route as the Sex pistols circa “1977″??? then again they say Jerseys 30 years behind the uk so if any further proof were needed.
I look forward to the lads selling me a sausage roll in the future in Spar “Whoa” like groovy man!!! lock up your daughters.

Thank you for the explanation Jordan and well done.
A ‘shocking’ name in a rock band is nothing new, not even for Jersey. I recall some friends of mine in the 1980′s playing in a local punk rock band called Bleeding Rectum.
Perhaps they should reform and do a gig with Clockwork Sodomy. The youngsters would naturally have to go on first.
Are you guys for real? Isn’t it just the beauty of language that when two fairly mundane words are strung together and printed on a page it causes a mass online debate? Why exactly does the name bother you so much I don’t understand it. Clearly, from Jordans explanation, it isn’t intended just to offend, but to be interpreted how you think it should be interpreted; if the name conjures the image of a man tea bagging the back of a clock, or having anal sex in Big Ben then it’s really your own fault for interpreting it that way. I leave you with a quote from the movie Year One: “You know what’s great about Sodom? All the sodomy”….
TO all of you closed-minded idiots that are complaining about a name, have any of you actually heard the band, read their lyrics or even seen anything about them besides this? the answer is most likely no. I have seen this band pretty much every time they’ve gigged and they’re great! (Well done for winning by the way) you all need to stop being such douche bags and actually take the time out of your boring, pointless lives and learn to take a bit of a joke and to look through the obvious because until you do you’re just going to be a pointless shell of a person just waiting for their next chance to complain over the internet.

“I look forward to the lads selling me a sausage roll in the future in Spar”
I like how somehow we are ‘dumb’ because of our band name, suggesting we will be working in Spar, when in fact we are all participating in higher education. These ‘judging a book by its cover’ comments are ridiculous, showing the shear level of ignorance in society. I, personally, cannot wait to leave the Island to meet like minded people, who like or dislike our music, or even us as individuals, based on a judgement made after seeing and meeting us.

It is implicit from your use of words that you do not regard yourself as an adult, although you would now appear to distance yourself from your erstwhile stance!
it is also clear from post 52 that you were, as you now concede, joking about the cliff richards tribute band claim which you made. Post 52 also confirms your place as one of the “in faces” of this rebellious, middle class musicians. Right at the front row of the gig eh? How on earth do you do it!?

Good post Chloe; very articulate and mature. Interesting observation as well regarding your low opinion of finance and trust workers; bearing in mind your argument that one cannot have an opinion unless one has seen this band perform, it seems somewhat hypocritical and otiose for you to disparage a profession with which you have doubtless never been involved.
As for the name of the band, who really cares? Some will find it most cringeworthy and it may well be the case that the band members too will find it so once they have responsibilities and have had to embrace the capitalist world, perhaps by working in the finance or trust sector, no doubt after either the taxpayer or a “capitalist” parent has paid for their resepective university educations
I saw them play too and I was in the front row. Does that mean that I am one of the “cool crew” as well?

Justasmalltowngirl, granted. I get what you’re saying, but do you not agree that a lot of the youth today are stereotyped, looked down upon and judged constantly? I mean, this whole debate is just the perfect example of this; ‘adults’ or people over the age of being a teenager, trying to justify their insults for a band who has done so well? It’s all very well that people express their opinions, but this whole page of arguments over a band name.. it’s just ridiculous, quite frankly, and I don’t understand why other people can’t let the teenagers be happy? Youth of today are always patronised by elders, and the kids who stand on street corners, drinking and doing drugs, robbing cars, beating other kids up, have just given the rest of us a bad name. We’re not all bad. Sure, we ain’t perfect, but we never will be. And I’m sorry, but it’s just not right. Never has been, never will be. I bet it’d be a different story if they’d confront us face to face. All of this. Over a band name. >.<

I am organising an event this Saturday, absolutely top hole! Rock n Roll isn’t just a type of music, its an attitude and lifestyle which the boys are certainly a part of. In a musical sense, Rock n Roll is an umbrella term that encompases a wide variety of styles from Punk to Heavy metal and of course Cliff Richards. I am an expert on all such matters. There are plenty of other successful gay bands like Bronski Beat, Pet Shop boys and Erasure so please don’t knock these lads just for being different

The problem is, people will tend to judge the book by its cover because that is what the band clearly wants. By adopting such a silly and “seeking to shock” name which in fact doesn’t shock at all!, they are inviting a judgement based upon style rather than substance. There doesn’t seem to be any particular modesty, either, so I don’t think we need to be too self reflective on the supposed talents of the band members, which of course is a separate issue from the comment which the band has invited by the choice of name. Bearing in mind the apparent rebellion against capitalism and other things, I would be interested to know whether any of the band members have read any of the classic texts which deal with the issues which they purport to raise. I had a punk friend years ago whose father was a millionaire lawyer and another in a band who I know now and who is in the same position. The first one (a bit of a plastic punk ) became a mainstream office worker when he finally grew up and I expect that the second one will have a rosy future in the legal profession once he has finished the studies that his wealthy parents pay for

I’m literally shocked at how ignorant you are. It’s ridiculous. What are you even gaining by ripping into a band you’ve obviously never listened to or met. Look at the huge fan base this band has. So they might not find themselves sandwhiched neatly between JLS and another such shitty artist you probably worship, if you had ever listened to the band you would know this. Just a quick general question though: when was your last battle of the bands victory?

clockwork sodomy is hardly a name with much finesse, and i rather hope that the undertone of resigned despair that the band members profess is as superficial and transient as i suspect, or they’re in for an unpleasant time.
that said, its only a name, at least they have a constructive hobby, maybe even some talent, and lets face it, those of us who have actually lived a life look back on their teens with a mixture of nostalgia and sheer embarassment- lets hope clockwork sodomy have that long and happy future from where to squirm uncomfortably a touch
peace and love, y’all

A lot of homophobia about this. As far as I can see its just 4 effete looking youngsters trying to work out a few issues. Fair play.
Rock’n'roll is, however, totally sad. Has been since the 1970s when John Peel banned records that referenced “rock’n'roll” in their title. It is boring, conservative nonsense.

I have no real problem with their name except, where does this all end?
Can we expect band names like ‘F*****g W*****s’ (Clue: The definitive oxymoron)?
At what stage will the JEP no longer give them column inches?

71 Yes, there does seem to be class hatred. It comes when a bunch of misinformed idiots start to criticise capitalism when they don’t know what they are talking about. I haven’t heard anyone else mention class at all so that must be what you are referring to

I think it is wrong to criticise a bunch of well meaning young lads who are clearly confused with their sexuality. I think that the Pink Pound could be a great thing for Jersey to attract in future years & it is bands like this who are in the vanguard of defining the islands gay credentials.

Marx at 71 speaks of “class hatred”. Apart from the fact that none of the posts on this thread speak of such a thing, it is rather ironic that the name which “Marx” adopts is something which is strongly suggestive of class divisions. Then we are all told to “grow up” by someone who, at 19 years of age, doesn’t regard himself as an adult and, further makes an immature remark about the band when the poster at number 20 asked a question regarding the type of music played by the band

Let’s see some more groovy guys on the scene! I am fed up with having to go to Brighton all the time so this is great! And the name is…oh la la!

No 77, Said as Seen “……… it is bands like this who are in the vanguard of defining the islands gay credentials”. Agreed, but don’t you mean to say that these bands are in fact at the rearguard

Well done to them for winning the battle of the bands. Yes there name is a bit strange,
Im just a bit worried because the film clockwork orange had a man with an orange for a head, i hope they don’t use this as a template.

I’d just like to thank everyone for providing a good laugh, some of these comments are hilarious!

Ok this is good but not as great as ‘Digital Diarrhoea’ or my other great favourite ‘Atomic Arseholes’ although Nuclear Necrophiliacs is just a little too heavy for my tastes.

*82; people are, generally, not easily shocked and they do have a good sense of humour. Good luck with the band!

The name does give some idea of what sub-genre of rock to expect from them, though. And it does slot them into a long tradition of sinister or unsavoury names for bands playing mainly dark-mooded songs.
