PLANS to transform Les Ormes into a ‘mini Center Parcs’ have been submitted to Planning.

The plans to build 22 golf apartments and six terraced self-catering chalets as well as 12 staff accommodation units and a new green-keepers’ shed were submitted this week.

A proposal to relocate the gymnasium to the existing tennis centre has also been suggested, but this would not affect the tennis courts.

The detailed plans follow an earlier application which was refused Planning permission in April.

Why would they need staff accommodation if they intend to employ local family men?

No No no more please….enough already…this is “Creepingly” getting bigger…developers get all riled up when opposed but they have only themselves to blame they just can’t help themselves from getting into the thin end of the wedge mode…and that is exactly what the Planning dept are for …to remind them that urban creep…is a bad error that must be stopped.

Why couldn’t they look at something like a ” mini center parcs” for the plemont sight ??

We are always hearing about how we need to boost tourism etc etc.

Or do we just need to increase the right type of tourists ??

A local business wishing to increase visitor
and add to the economy and visitor numbers, and not asking us to pay for it. The rotters ! (sarc)

    And the downside is ????.

Without a buoyant tourist industry would we have, a viable ferry service, an airport, a zoo, museums, Jersey dairy, etc etc ????
