Family trio on robbery charge
Thursday 2nd September 2010, 3:00PM BST.
A MOTHER and her two teenage sons allegedly attacked and robbed a man as he walked home from the pub.
It was claimed in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday that the woman and the boys, aged 13 and 14, followed the man – a complete stranger – down a dark alley before attacking him and stealing his money.
The three, of St Helier, have been charged with robbery and the 14-year-old with possessing an offensive weapon following the alleged late-night attack near Upper Midvale Road on 12 August.
Before adjourning the case, the Assistant Magistrate, Bridget Shaw, indicated that it would be sent to the Royal Court.
