JERSEY Telecom is investing about £14 million in creating new data centre capacity to meet growing demand.

The company is constructing a new site at Rue des Prés in Jersey and expanding its First Tower Lane building in Guernsey.

Jersey Telecom managing director Tim Ringsdore said that the demand was so high for server hosting that JT now intended to build in the car park of the Guernsey site.
