ISLAND boxing fans are in for a world-class treat next month, with legendary Roy Jones junior the guest speaker for a star-studded evening of professional contests.

Island resident Dennis Hobson, who promoted the hugely successful Clinton Woods’ world title eliminator victory over the Kosovo Kid, Elvir Muriqi, at the Hotel De France last year, returns to the same venue with five up-and-coming professionals from his stable on the bill on Saturday 9 October.

Roy Jones is certain to be a huge draw as, in and out of the ring, he is one of the most colourful characters the sport has ever produced.
