Jet Man stars in spectacular display
Friday 10th September 2010, 3:00PM BST.
JET Man Yves Rossy was one of the stars of a spectacular International Air Display yesterday.
Thousands cast their eyes to the skies as some of the world’s finest aircraft roared across St Aubin’s Bay.
Although the show got off to a slow start – with high winds forcing the RAF Falcons parachute team to cancel and Jet Man to delay his performance by two hours – the crowd were soon treated to an amazing display aircraft old and new, with the highlight, as always, being the Red Arrows display team.
Speaking to the JEP just minutes after he touched down, Mr Rossy said: ‘I initially had a problem with my engine, and with the winds, which were stronger than expected. But eventually it was perfect. There were clouds, but I could see the crowd below and I could also see the coast of France.’
