STRIKER Ryan Le Cornu emerged from the shadows of injury to shoot St Peter to victory in the Charity Cup final at Springfield last night.

Out for two years with a knee injury, Le Cornu slotted home the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Jersey Wanderers and Muratti goalkeeper Jimmy Styles.

It was the only goal of a disappointing game as Wanderers pressed hard throughout with the Saints happy to sit tight in defence and look to hit their opponents on the break.
