Captain Fantastic
Saturday 25th September 2010, 3:00PM BST.
ISLAND captain Peter Gough completed a memorable season last night by being crowned NatWest Cricketer of the Year.
The Old Victorian, who skippered the Jersey Cricket Board team to victory in the ICC European Division I tournament in Jersey this summer, took the night’s top accolade from Dean Morrison, last year’s winner, Chris Jones, Matt Hague and young guns Charles Perchard and Alex Cooke.
There was consolation for Perchard however as he was named Jersey Evening Post Young Cricketer of the Year for the second consecutive season.
