Do you know this woman and child?

The photograph was taken at Havre des Pas

WE HAVE been sent a copy of a photograph in the hope that someone will be able to identify the woman and young girl featured.

It has been sent by Derek Paine, of Boston, Lincolnshire, who says that he does not have a date for it, but discovered it in papers owned by his late father, Ernest Arthur Paine, who died in 1962.

The only clue to the Jersey connection is on the back of the photo where Mr Paine found the words: ‘I had this taken the other day down Havre des Pas. This little girl is my boss’s daughter’.

Also written is the name of ‘Walkies’, 39 Broad Street, Jersey, CI. If anyone can help, they can write to Mr Paine at Ebbanea, 5 Freshney Way, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 7PZ.
