Rugby star has over 50 stitches after glassing

ONE of Jersey’s most promising young rugby players has been told he may have to give up the sport after being the victim of an horrific glassing attack in Newcastle early on Friday morning.
Former Siam Cup player Mark Livesey (21) was assaulted inside a nightclub in the Bigg Market district just after 1.30 am on Friday.
He needed more than 50 stitches to his face after the attack, but was told by a surgeon this morning that the result of an operation to save his damaged eye appeared ‘positive’.
