Nathan Paterson, Emma Quintal, Lisa Wright and Stewart Daynes were among the Lombard team members who collectively raised more than £25,000 for charity
FOUR Islanders raised £4,000 after completing one of the toughest charity challenges in the UK.
The group, all workers at finance firm Lombard, battled against rain, fog and gales to scale the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in just under 24 hours.
The Three Peaks Challenge took the group to the top of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Emma Quintal (23), Nathan Paterson (32), Lisa Wright (43) and Stuart Daynes formed one of six Lombard teams from across the UK who took part in the challenge.
The groups raised a total of £25,000 for Sense, the UK’s leading charity providing specialist services to deaf-blind children and adults.
Emma said: ‘The word everyone used to describe the challenge was horrific. It rained pretty much all the time, there were gale-force winds and it was foggy. But it was a good personal challenge for all of us and we are really pleased we completed it.’
