JERSEY Rugby Club, until last Saturday league leaders in National Two South, go into tomorrow’s game against Ealing RFC as serious underdogs.

Having beaten Westcombe Park 47-10 last weekend, Ealing Trailfinders are the only unbeaten team in the division, in first place with 30 points compared to Jersey, third, with 27 – and their defensive record (only 100 points conceded) is the best in the league.

‘Not only are we the underdogs; we’re serious underdogs!’ JRFC coach Ben Harvey said yesterday. ‘They’ve probably spent £800,000 on their squad and know this league inside out. Of course we won’t underestimate them!’
