Cohen welcomes review of decision-making
Tuesday 26th October 2010, 2:57PM BST.
ENVIRONMENT Minister Freddie Cohen says he would welcome a review of the Planning Minister’s powers and how decisions are made.
Senator Cohen was responding to a call by Deputy Roy Le Hérissier that the Planning and Environment Minister’s role be examined by the Policy and Procedures Committee.
Deputy Le Hérissier was concerned that the decisions of one individual could have ‘enormous financial implications – good or bad’ and felt that a single person should not be exposed to such pressures.
