Squash aims to expand for Glasgow

JERSEY’S Commonwealth squash team could be twice the size if not larger by the next Games in 2014.

Having just returned from this year’s event in Delhi, where Jersey had three squash competitors, director of squash Nick Taylor is already in the process of identifying team members for the Games in Glasgow in four years.

He said: ‘We are actually identifying the next crop of potential players for 2014 at the moment. We are going to write to them and explain that if you put the hard work in now there is the possibility you could represent Jersey at the next Commonwealth Games.’
