X FACTOR winner Joe McElderry’s first album, which is out this week, was recorded and produced in Jersey.

His debut album, Wide Awake, was released on Monday, after he spent three months in the Island recording it this year, and looks like it could go to number one on Sunday.

Also featured on the album are local girl group Honeybun, who recorded the backing vocals for track nine, Smile, and who have even been credited on the CD sleeve.

The album has another Island link – track four, Real Late Starter, is a cover of a single by Jersey singer and songwriter Nerina Pallot. The song was penned by Nerina and featured on her last album, The Graduate.

this is not a story to tell your grandchildren as it will all be over for him in a year, im sorry for young people who think this is what music is, its all about the look you see the music comes after..

    Breaking news!!!

Not like it is worthy of reporting, but as it has been, why wasn’t it at the time he was here?

And the lad announced he had been in Jersey a week ago on the Paul O’Grady show (wife was watching it!) He did mention what a rip-off everything was here

    #6 Trevor. Quite right !

Just remember not to invite him back, to any functions eg. Party in the Part etc…

Well fame does go easily to ones head, lets see how long he lasts!!!!

Most probably on Paul’s show because he was cheap to get !!!!!!!!!!!
